Important Court Ordered Notice
You have been sent a Notice and Claim form in the Jerome’s Bonded Leather Settlement because Jerome’s records indicate that you purchased bonded leather furniture from Jerome’s on or after December 27, 2014 through February 7, 2020 and have not already received a full refund from Jerome’s for the furniture.
The purpose of this Notice is to inform you of the existence of a settlement between the Plaintiff in the case and Jerome’s for allegations that the bonded leather furniture sold by Jerome’s was not suitable for use as furniture because it would crack and peel from normal use.
These are your legal rights and options:
1. You may return a claim form and receive a payment from the settlement.
Enclosed with your notice, you will find a form entitled “Jerome’s Settlement Claim Form”. If you wish to receive a payment in this case, you must complete and return a Claim Form no later than February 7, 2020.
2. You may do nothing.
If you choose to do nothing, you will NOT receive a payment from the settlement and will give up your rights to file your own claim.
3. You may opt out of the settlement and receive NO payment from the settlement.
If you opt out of the settlement, you will receive no payment from the settlement. Instructions on how to opt out of the settlement are found in the notice. You must opt out by February 7, 2020.
4. You may object to the settlement and appear at the final approval hearing.
Instructions on how to object to the settlement are found in the notice. If you wish to object to the settlement, your written objection must be received by Settlement Administrator by February 7, 2020.
